Hide & Leather Ecosystem
Leather can be made from the hide of almost any animal, including cows (the most common), pigs, sheep and goats. Being a by-product of the meat and dairy industries, the production of leather uses hides that would otherwise be destroyed. While the leather production has not changed radically over many centuries, the industry has continuously evolved and there are now many players that are helping to sustain this complex ecosystem. HIDEXE has created a cloud-based software suite (H SaaS) that allows industry participants to interact efficiently, transparently and for everyone's benefit. These applications enable an optimized and integrated global digital ecosystem encompassing the full production cycle from the slaughterhouse to finished leather.
